DECKER-SHENK Ivan Fedorovich [1825, Vienna - 19 (31) X 1899, Petersburg] - composer, guitarist and teacher. By nationality Austrian. He graduated from the Vienna Conservatory in singing. The author of many comedian. operas and operettas (including operettas “Hadji Murad”, post. 1887), romances (his popular romance “Washington”, which became a folk song, published in 1890), works and transcriptions. for 6- and 7-string guitars (fantasies, duets, variations, etc.).
