Perelman Natan Efimovich [p. 19 VII (1 VIII) 1906, Zhytomyr] - owls. pianist and teacher. Game on fp. studied with G. G. Neigauz in Kiev (1921-24) and with L.V. Nikolaev in Leningrad. conservatory (1925-1930). Concerts since 1928 in the USSR and abroad (Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia). He teaches in Leningra. conservatory since 1937 (since 1957 professor, since 1977 head of the department of special fp.). P.'s game is distinguished by the relief of muses. characteristics, richness and subtlety of musical and speech intonations. In his vast repertoire, a large place is occupied by produ. B. A. Mozart, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, R. Schumann, C. S. Prokofiev. He acted as an ensemble (jointly with M. B. Polyakin and others). P. belong to conc. transcriptions for fp. (among them - the chorus of M. P. Mussorgsky “Drove, walked around”, 1932; “Flight of the Bumblebee” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, 1932;waltz from the opera “War and Peace” by Prokofiev, 1957).
