SALBERG-VACHNADZE Margarita Akselevna (b. 29 VII 1909, Helsinki) - Soviet musicologist and pianist. Failed activist Arts Cargo. SSR (1967). Candidate of Art History (1961). I studied the game in fp. (1927-40) at the conservatories in Tbilisi, Helsinki, as well as in Paris with A. Corto in "Eco Normal"; studied the history of music at the University of Paris (1931-36). In 1939-47 she gave concerts in Paris and taught at the conservatory (fp.). She wrote a book about D. D. Shostakovich (in French, published in Paris in 1945). Since 1948 he has been working in the USSR. He teaches the history of fp at the Tbilisi Conservatory art, technique of fp. games (since 1971 professor). The author of brochures, articles and reviews (St. 100) about the modern. Georgian as well as Fin. musicians.
