BRKANOVICH (Brkanovic) Ivan (b. 27 XII 1906, Shkalyari, near the town of Kotor) - Croatian composer (Yugoslavia). He studied composition with F. Lotka, F. Dugan and B. Bersa at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, then at the “Schola Cantorum” in Paris. He worked in Zagreb as a choirmaster, director of the Zagreb Philharmonic Society (1954-57), and was a professor at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo (1957-61).
