NON-MESHES (Nemessanyi) Chamuel Felix (1837, Liptovsky Mikulas, now Czechoslovakia - 5 III 1881, Budapest) - Hungarian. master of bow instruments. Pupil of J. B. Schweitzer and C. Zach. Worked hl. arr. according to the models of J.P. Maggini, A. Stradivarius and J. Guarneri del Gesu (based on the samples of the last N. created violins, performed most artistically). On the label to the instrument he always indicated whose model was laid in its foundation. One of the outstanding masters of the 2nd floor. 19 century., N. did not seek to accurately reproduce the appearance of the original, but subtly captured and recreated the main. design features and sound quality of the sample taken. I reworked the shape of the instruments in my own way, the ephs of N. are asymmetrical, cut out roughly, but generally artistically (beautiful transparent, golden-colored varnish); less successful curls.
