These are the prod. for fp. with R. Strauss Orchestra - Parergon (Addendum) to the Home Symphony (Parergon zur Symphonia domestica) and Panathenäenz Procession (Panathenäenzug), concert D-dur M. Ravel, produced. E.V. Korngold, F. Schmidt, S. Bortkevich, R. Brown, J. Laboratory and others.; a number of instr. compositions with fp. The 4th concert by S. S. Prokofiev, commissioned by V., however, was not performed by him. In 1931-38, professor in the class of fp. New Conservatory in Vienna. Since 1938 he lived in the USA. In 1940-45 he taught fp. a college game in Manhattanville. He wrote The School for the Left Hand (Schule der linken Hand, vols. 1-3, 1957). V. Yu. Delson.
