Forsaken - Whispering Soul

On the sixth of March, Wagner and Cosima arrived in Budapest. Wagner was about to conduct fragments from The Ring of the Nibelung. On the eve of the joint performance of Liszt and Wagner, on March 9, a dress rehearsal was held in the Vigado Hall. In Cosima’s diary for this day there are lines: “Dress rehearsal; disgusting hall, poor acoustics, insufficient number of rehearsals; father played a Beethoven concert in our complete stupor; unheard of experience!
