Izzy, unable to wait, slipped into the small kitchen of the plane, unzipped the zipper and urinated in the bin. When this was reported to the pilot, he led the plane to land in Phoenix. Izzy was taken out of the plane, arrested and accused of obstructing flight and inappropriate behavior. “I remember thinking:“ Damn it, I screwed up again. ”” The case quickly got into the newspapers. Suddenly Izzy Stradlin was threatened with six months in prison because he already had an arrest for drug use in Los Angeles.(A Geffen spokesman tried to shut off his ward, suggesting that Izzy's public urination was a way to express herself.)
