Then comes “Garden of Eden,” an explosive punk song co-written by Axl and Slash. Sharply attacking an organized religion, Eden states that religion is “a mockery of humanity,” and “our government has gone out of control and has become dangerous.” Whether this irony was deliberate or not, but Axl’s heresy is followed by “Don't Damn Me,” an answer to the legions of Axl’s haters, offended by the text “One in a Million”. In a song written with Dave Lenk, Axl does not apologize for expressing her opinion, but after a slow loss, she reiterates her right to freedom of speech in the face of fans. “Your happiness is in your illusions,” he tells them, “but your delusions are only yours, not mine.” Then begins the “Bad Apples”, in which Dizzy Reed depicts boogie keys on top of the old Stones-inspired rhythm,while Axl gives out the bad guy's classic vocals.
