LATYSHEVA (nee Lileeva) Alexandra Alexandrovna (1830, Petersburg - 1872, ibid.) - USA. singer (contralto). A pupil of St. Petersburg. theatre. the student performed on stage imp. theater. Upon graduation (1848) she made her debut in the party of Vani and was accepted into the troupe. With a wide range voice, developed wok. in technique, she also sang the parts of mezzo-soprano: Princess (“Mermaid”), Nancy (“Martha” Flotova), Pamela (“Fra-Devil” Ober). Stage L.'s performance was dramatic. Since 1867 she performed at the opera house in Kiev.
