MILSTEIN (Milstein) Natan Mironovich [p. 18 (31) XII 1904, Odessa] - Amer. violinist. He studied violin from childhood in Odessa with P. S. Stolyarsky. He later studied with L. S. Auer in Petrograd. conservatory and E. Isai in Brussels. In 1920-25 he performed in the USSR, performing in an ensemble with a pianist V. S. Horowitz. Since 1925 he lives abroad (since 1928 - in the USA). Has toured in many countries. It has the perfect technique and impeccable taste. Performed by ch. arr. classic repertoire. Author arr. for violin (including "Paganiniana").
