KELEMEN (Kelemen) Milko (b. 24 III 1924, Podravska Slatina) - Horv. composer. Studied with S. Shulek in the Muses. Academy in Zagreb (until 1951). He improved in Paris (1953-54), Orenburg (1958-60), Siena and Darmstadt, at the Siemens Electronic Studio in Munich (1966-68). Since 1953 he has been teaching composition in Zagreb, since 1968 - in decomp. cities of Germany. K. - founder (1961) and head of the festival sovr. music in Zagreb (biennale). One of the first horv. avant-garde artists, K. uses the latest techniques of writing, writes electronic music, in musical scenes. production refers to the "theater of the absurd."
