Alice Cooper - You Make Me Wanna

MANYAR (Magnard) Alberic Lucien Denis Gabriel (9 VI 1865, Paris - 3 IX 1914, Baron, Oise department) - French composer. In 1886-88 he studied at the Paris Conservatory with T. Dubois (harmony) and J. Massenet (composition); in 1888-92 he took lessons from W. d'Andy. For op. M. is characterized by constructive clarity, perfection of form, dramatic expressiveness. In his early work M. was influenced by R. Wagner, later developed the traditions of the school of S. Frank. In 1903 he wrote The Anthem of Justice for the orchestra as a response to the A. Dreyfus affair. Mn M.'s manuscripts burned down (during the 1st World War 1914-18 the composer's house was set on fire, and he himself was killed by German soldiers).
