ANTONOVSKY Alexander Petrovich (1864, Chisinau - 1907) - Russian singer (bass). In 1882-86 he studied in Moscow. conservatory at J. Galvani. In 1886-90 he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater (made his debut in the part of Miller). In 1890-1900 he sang on the stage of private theaters in Kiev (Opera House by I. P. Pryanishnikov), Odessa, Kharkov, Moscow, in 1900-02- at the Mariinsky Theater. Parties: Susanin, Miller, Konchak, Holofernes, Gremin, Farlaf, Varyazhsky guest; Wanderer (“Rogneda”), Head (“May Night”), Bartolo (“The Wedding of Figaro”), Marcel (“Huguenots”), Hunding and Fafner (“Ring of the Nibelung”).
