In 1938 he graduated from Leningrad. A.G. Vasiliev Conservatory, in 1941 - postgraduate study there. In 1936-65, the artist was a symph. Orchestra Leningrad. Philharmonic Society (since 1948 soloist). Laureate of the All-Union Competition of Performing Musicians (1941, Washington). In 1940-50 he taught in Leningrad. specialist. musesschool at the conservatory, since 1946 - in Leningrad. conservatory (professor since 1965). Compiled transposition collections for bassoon with fp. (1954, 1965, 1969), author of methodological. works “On the specifics of the bassoon and on the peculiarities of the training of bassoons” (in the collection: “Methods of teaching the playing of wind instruments”, 1964).
