Rangström Anders Johan Type (30 XI 1884, Stockholm - 11 V 1947, ibid.) - Swede. composer, music critic, conductor and teacher. He studied with J. Lindegren in Stockholm (counterpoint), then with J. Hay in Munich (singing) and H. Pfitsner in Dresden (composition). In 1907-42 he taught singing in Stockholm, was a musician. critic, performed as a conductor (since 1919) with decomp. orchestras. In 1922-25 the 1st bandmaster Orc. Union (Orkesterföreningen) in Gothenburg, in 1930-36 press officer of the King of Stockholm. theater.
