ANDONIU Theodoros (b. 10 II 1935, Athens) - Greek composer. In 1947-58 he studied singing and playing the violin in Nat. conservatory, in 1956-1961 - compositions by Janis A. Papioannu in the Hellenic Conservatory in Athens, in 1961-65 - by G. Bialas in the Higher Muses. school in Munich, where he received the initial. training in electronic music. In 1964-66 he worked in the electronic music studio of Bayreuth Radio. In 1967 he organized the Hellenic group sovr. music in Athens. He taught composition and orchestration at Stanford University in San Francisco (1969-70), at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia (1970) and in Tanglewood (1975). In his op. adheres to a freely interpreted serial system.
