KIPP Karl Augustovich [30 X (11 XI) 1865, Petersburg - 26 III 1925, Washington] - Sov. pianist and teacher. Game on fp. studied with P. A. K. was a representative of fp. school, which was distinguished by a clear, brilliant technique, a confident, but somewhat monotonous sound, with clarity. design. Sensitive to the individual characteristics and needs of students, K. was able to select a repertoire that successfully promoted their prof. growth. Ped. K.'s activity was of particular importance for the teaching of fp. games at the junior branch of Mosk. conservatory. Among the students are B. N. Argamakov, L. A. Barabeichik, N. A. Orlov and others. Among those who graduated from K. the full course of the conservatory are A. Arsenyev, A. E. Mikhalchi, Yu. V. Bryushkov, N. V. Otto, V.V.Brainina.
