MENSA (Mensah) Atta Annan (b. 12 XII 1925) - Ghanaian composer. He studied at Achimota College (1949-51), Trinity College in London (1952-56), and the University of California at Los Angeles (1962-63). In 1948-52 he taught at schools and colleges of Achimota and Kumasi, in 1956-61 he headed the muses. Department of Radio Ghana, in 1963-68 led the music. Department of Institute of Afr. Research University of Ghana in Legon, in 1968-71 worked at the Center for Afr. Research University of Zambia, in 1971-74 headed the Department of Music, Dance and Drama at Makerere University in Kampala (Uganda), since 1974 professor at the University of Cape Coast.
