MARINKOVICH (Marinkovih) Joseph (11 X 1851, Vranevo, Banat - 13 V 1931, Belgrade) - Serb. composer and choir. conductor. He graduated from the organ school in Prague with Z. Skugersky (1881), studied with E. Hanslik in Vienna (musical and theoretical subjects, 1886). He worked in Belgrade. Headed the decomp. chorister society, incl. Belgrade (1881-86) and Obilich (1889-1900). He taught the choir. singing in schools and grammar schools (1891-1924). Champion nat.
