Tuxen (Tuxen) Eric Oluf (4 VII 1902, Mannheim - 28 VIII 1957, Copenhagen) - dates. conductor. He studied under V. Scheler (fp.), N.O. Rosted (musical and theoretical subjects), under R. Berg (conducting) in Mannheim; studied the composition at hand. E. Toja in Vienna. He was the conductor of the Opera House in Lübeck (1927-29), then he worked in Copenhagen - at the New Theater (1929-30, participated in the post of “Three Penny Opera” by C. Weil et al.), King. Theater (1930-32) and the Nerrebro Theater (1932-33). There was a hand. jazz orchestra (1932-36); later became a symph. conductor, from 1936 until the end of his life he worked on Dat. stateradio. He performed at muses. festival in Edinburgh (1950), toured in many. European countries, North. and South. America decomp. local orchestras along with production Western Europe classics performed under his control. productionDates composers, especially K. Nielsen symphonies. The author of music for dramas. theater (including Goethe's Faust) and movies.
