FEOKTISTOV Boris Stepanovich (b. 23 VII (5 VIII) 1911, Krasnoyarsk] - co-performer on a balalaika. Honored art. RSFSR (1959). 2nd Ave. at the All-Union Contest of Performers on Folk Instruments (1939). Game studied at the balalaika with G. I. Troshin in Krasnoyarsk. In 1933-36 he studied at the Washington Musical School named after Ippolitov-Ivanov in the cello class with L. M. Seidel. Since 1936, being in the ranks of the Soviet Army, played the cello in the symphony orchestra of the Central House of the Soviet Army. In 1938-71, the soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army named after A. Alexandrov (balalaika).
