The largest X. - classical performers. music in the 19-20 centuries: Ota Giyos, Ota Jalol, Boruhi Kalhot, Khoja Abdulaziz, Domullo Halim Ibadov, Levi Bobokhanov, Sodirkhon Bobosharifov, B. Iskhakova. Among the people X. are known - M. Bakhodurov, F. Dzhorubov, Sh. Juraev, N. Kurbanaseinov, N. Odinaev, X. Rizo, Sh. Sakhibov, B. Fayzullaev, O. Khashimov, F. Shakhobov. Decree of the Presidium Top. Council Taj. SSR from 5 Feb. 1947 established the title of Nar. Hafiz Taj. SSR; awarded for especially meaning. Merits in the development of Taj. traditional music. culture. The first to be awarded this title were: A.Abdullaev, N. Aminov, Bakhodurov, Juraev, Fayzullaev, M. Khamidov, Shakhobov; it was also assigned to women singers M. Nazardodova and N. Raupova.
