MOUSE (pseudo. Filippi-Mishuga) Alexander Filippovich [7 (19) VI 1853, p. New Vitkovo, now Lviv region. - 9 III 1922, Freiburg (Germany), buried in s. New Vitkovo] - Ukrainian. singer (lyric-drum. tenor) and wok. teacher. He studied singing in Lvov with V. Vysotsky, from 1881 - in Milan and Nice. In 1883 he made his debut in the party of Lionel (Martha Flotov) in Forlì (Italy). He performed in theaters in Milan, Vienna, Lviv, Krakow, Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Stockholm and others, having won the glory of an outstanding opera singer. His performance was distinguished by high muses. culture, beautiful diction, had a bright dramatic talent. Parties - Lensky, Yontek; Stefan (The Terrible Courtyard of Moniuszko), Radames, Faust, Alfred, Duke; Richard (The Masquerade Ball), Werther; Fernand (“Favorite” by Donizetti), Turiddu (“Rural Honor” by Mascagni), Canio, etc.In 1904-11 (with interruptions) he taught at the Musical Drama. school of N.V.
