KUSHENOV-DMITREVSKY Dmitry Fedorovich [approx. 1782-2 (14) XII 1835, Petersburg] - Rus. guitar player. Probably the son of the compiler of “The Newest Full School or Self-instruction for the Gusli ...” composed, as the title page says, “known to the USA public as a lover of this instrument, Mr. Fedor Kushenov-Dmitrevsky” (1808, 1810). An amateur musician was also K.-D., who served in Kommerch. Bank in St. Petersburg (an official of the 8th grade). He owns a seven-string guitar school, existing in 3 versions. K.-D. made arrangements and wrote dance. plays and variations for the guitar, similar in style to the early compositions of A. O. Sikhra and S. N. Aksyonov.
