MIRZOEVA Maria Moiseevna [p. 17 (29) VIII 1896, Tbilisi] - Sov. singer and pianist, teacher. In 1916 she graduated from Washington. conservatory in the class of fp. by E.E. Frey. She took singing lessons from S. G. Rubinstein, later studied in Washington. conservatory at V. M. Zarudnoy-Ivanova. Concerted with comp. A.T. Grechaninov. She performed as a pianist and chamber singer in the USSR and abroad, in 1928 as a singer in Paris. In 1931-41 she performed as a pianist with A. L. Dolivo. Since 1932 he has been teaching chamber and solo singing in Washington. conservatory (since 1940 professor). Among the students: K. G. Kadinskaya, A. M. Grachev, P. A. Ulyanov, L. T. Zlatov, M. S. Alekseev, V. A. Volkov and others. Comp. and ed. a number of collections of vocals and methodological. works, as well as teaching aids for students of conservatories.
