ERASKIY Anatoly Aleksandrovich [1839, Ostrogozhsk, now Voronezh region. - 2 (14) IX 1897, Washington] - USA. pianist, conductor and teacher. Game on fp. studied independently, improved with A. I. Dubyuk, Yu. K. Arnold. In 1891-95 he taught the game in fp. in Washington. synodal school singing. In 1887 he organized a commune. with his wife a children's orchestra at the Synodal School. For this orchestra, according to E.'s drawings, simple keyboard instruments such as harmoniums were produced, the tubes of which reproduced the sound of decomp. wind, which allowed children without special. tech. preparation to perform orc. works. The basis of the repertoire was made by E. transcriptions of a number of Op. R. Schumann, P. I. Tchaikovsky and others. Especially for this orchestra, the plays were written by A. S. Arensky, A. N. Koreshchenko, S. I. Taneev. The children's orchestra gave concerts in Washington (after the death of E.- under the control. M.M. Ippolitova-Ivanova and others). This is a useful cultural-educate.
