MIKOLAI FROM RADOM, Radomsky Mikolaj (Mikolaj z Radomia) - Polish composer 1st floor. 15 century With 1442 par. musician, performer on chambalo (had the title "clavicembalista reginae Poloniae"). In 1426 he wrote a panegyric. motet ("Hystoriographi aciem mentis"), acc. histor. events at the court of King Vladislav Jagiello and Prince Casimir. M. from R. wrote the church. music (magnificates, motets, "Et in terra", "Patrem") and secular vocals. compositions - hymns (in honor of Krakow and the anthem of students of the University of Krakow - comic, in Latin.). His works, testifying to the perfect mastery of the technique of counterpoint (used imitation techniques and foburdon), are similar in style to the music of G. Dufay, J. Ciconia and other composers of the Burgundian school (see Dutch music). M.'s skill from R. was shown by hl. arr. in his 3-voice voc.
