LISSA (Lissa) Zofya (b. 19 X 1908, Lviv) - Polish musicologist and teacher. Doctor of Philosophy (1930) and historian. Sciences (1954). In 1925 she graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (class of fp.), In 1925-30 she studied musicology, philosophy and art history at the University in Lviv, in 1930-39 she taught theory at the Lviv Conservatory. In 1941-47, she worked in the USSR (in 1944-47, the culture attache of the Polish Embassy in Washington).
