Several such tools are known: G. from Opole, found during archaeological. excavations and related to the 2nd floor. 11th century, with a case in the form of a narrow trough and 2 strings; G. from Gdansk, dating from the 12th-13th centuries; “Old Poland”, 17th century with a flat oval body and 2 strings. 2) G. Podhalyansky, also called zlubcaki (zlobcaki), is an old Polish folk bowed instrument. The body is wooden, hollowed or glued, pear-shaped or boat-shaped, with a short neck, strings 3-4, pitch structure. G. with a hollowed body resembles a Bulgarian fortuneteller. They play G. on a moon-shaped bow, resting the body on the left side of the chest below the shoulder (e.g. the way of holding the violin). Sound G. - sharp, piercing.The tool is still found in some areas of Poland. The terms related to G. are also known in other Slavic countries (Yugosl. Gusle, USA. Gusli, Bulgarian guslis, etc.).
