VOYACHE Ignatius Kasperovich [22 XI 1825, Zlin, Moravia - 28 I (10 II) 1916, Petrograd] - USA conductor, composer, organist and teacher. By nationality Czech. He graduated from the philosophical faculty of Vienna University. He studied music with G. B. Rieger in Brno. Collected Czech. Narsongs. Since the 50s. lived in USA. He worked as a military man. bandmaster, organist, bassoonist, conductor of the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg. In the 80s. was the second bandmaster of the Mariinsky Theater.
