All game tubes have reeds with a single or (less commonly) double tongue. The contractor holds V. under his arm or in front of himself. The fur is filled with air, which brings the tongues into a state of vibration, and the tubes begin to sound. When the performer draws air into his lungs, he presses the fur to the body,thanks to which the sound does not stop and its strength remains unchanged. Some V. are equipped with small furs (such as blacksmiths) for pumping air into the tank.
