Dustin Lynch - Mind Reader

WILHELMY (Wilhelmj) August Emil Daniel Ferdinand Victor (21 IX 1845, Uzingen - 22 I 1908, London) - German. violinist and teacher. He studied violin under the supervision of C. Fischer in Wiesbaden. The first concert was given at the age of 9 years. On the recommendation of F. Liszt, he entered the Leipzig Conservatory, where in 1861-64 he studied with F. David (violin), M. Hauptmann and E. Richter (music theory). For some time he took composition lessons from J. Raff. In 1876 he headed the Bayreuth Theater Orchestra at the Wagner celebrations. From 1865 he gave concerts (in 1868 in USA). In 1878-82 he toured the countries of Europe, America, Asia, performed in Australia. For several years he lived in Biebrich on the Rhine, where he founded (with R. Niman) a violin school.
