George Strait - Every Little Honky Tonk Bar

VILLOIN Alexander Ivanovich [27 or 29 II (10 or 12 III) 1804, Washington - 21 VIII (2 IX) 1878, Lesnoye, near St. Petersburg] - USA. pianist-teacher. Rod in the French family. emigrant. He studied under F. Gebel and J. Field in Washington. Since 1821 he studied music. activity. In 1823-30 he lived and taught in the province, in 1830-62 - in Washington, where he enjoyed the reputation of one of the best fp. educators; spent the last years of his life in St. Petersburg, in 1863-65 he was an adjunct of the conservatory. V. became famous as a teacher of br. A. G. and N. G. Rubinstein. He accompanied A.G. Rubinstein in his first overseas conc. trip (1840-43). Rubinstein highly appreciated pedagogical. V.'s talent, believing that he "owed it to him" as a solid foundation in the musical art.
