Nashville Cast - Undermine (feat. Charles Esten & Hayden Panettiere)

Half a century seems like a long time for a conductor’s career, but add ten more when I, as a teenager, watched such maestros as Arturo Toscanini and Leonard Bernstein on TV and went to live concerts in New York, and then spent a wonderful summer 1966 in Europe, attending the magnificent music festivals in Bayreuth, Salzburg and Glyndeborn and individual performances in Munich, London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Paris. Looking back, I understand that I was observing the end of an era when conductors who studied at the beginning of the 20th century could still be seen with their own eyes.
