VASINA-GROSSMAN Vera Andreevna [p. 21 II (5 III) 1908, Ryazan] - Soviet musicologist. Failed artist of the RSFSR (1969). Doctor of Arts (1954). In 1938 she graduated from the historical and theoretical department of the Washington Conservatory. In 1943-1957 she taught the history of music here (from 1944 associate professor). Since 1949 scientificemployee of the Institute of Art History of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR. The author of many articles published in the journal "Soviet Music", and sections on chamber-wok. and film music in collective works: “The History of USA Soviet Music” (1956-63), “The History of Music of the Peoples of the USSR”, vol.
