Darius Rucker - True Believers

Since 1922 he lived in the USA. Author of cello compositions (among them Four Concert Etudes, Ten Preludes for Solo Cello), transcriptions of plays by P.I. Tchaikovsky, A.G. Rubinstein, V.S. Kalinnikov, E.F. Napravnik and others. composers. He wrote memoirs about S.V. Rachmaninov (collection of “In memory of Rachmaninov”, New York, 1946). He acted as a music critic (“RMG”, journal “Musical Worker”, newspaper “Saratov Listok”). His brother Isaac Evseevich B. (1867, Kharkov - 1942, ibid.) Is a violinist. In 1887 he graduated from the Music College of the Kharkov branch of RMO. He taught, gave concerts as a soloist and ensemble player (member of the quartet of the Kharkov branch of RMO). Wrote a biographical essay “I. Slatin "(St. Petersburg, 1896),memories of P. I. Tchaikovsky (“Concerts of P. I. Tchaikovsky in Kharkov”, in collection: “Memoirs of P. I. Tchaikovsky”, M., 1962) and others L. S. Ginzburg.
