He conducted opera Rus., Sov. and Western Europe composers. The author of muses. compositions of the ballet Handut (1945) to the music of A. A. Spendiarov. Since 1929 he has been teaching at the Yerevan Conservatory (professor since 1950), in 1949-58 he was vice-rector.
