Attached to the dictionary is a catalog of books by B. collected on music and music editions of the 16-17th centuries. (more than 900 names.) - One of the first systematic. cataloging experiments and descriptions of muses. literature. B.wrote “A letter to Mr. Demots regarding his new method of recording liturgical. singing and music ”(“ Lettre en forme de dissertation a M. Demoz sur sa nouvelle methode d'crire le plain-chant et la musique ”, 1729). A unique collection of muses. B.'s manuscripts were acquired in 1724 by Louis XV (now one of the most valuable collections of the Musical Department of the National Library in Paris). Author of sacred music, instr. Op. (symphonies for 2 and 3 instruments with bass, sonatas for 2 skr., gamba and bass, sonatas for 2 skr. and bass, etc.).
