Dominicheti - composition ) In 1881-90, organist of the cathedral in Como, until 1896 teacher of the Neapolitan Conservatory (organ and harmony). Director of Muses Lyceum B. Marcello in Venice (1896-1902; taught organ playing and composition), Muses. Lyceum in Bologna (1902-12), the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome (1916-23). Headed Conc. B. Marcello Society in Venice. Outstanding organist performer. Concerted in plural European countries (including in USA in 1907 and in 1912) and in the USA. Successfully fought for the reform of organ-building in Italy, for the revival of org.art. He wrote (jointly with J. Tebaldini) a guide for studying in the organ classes of conservatories. Died, returning by boat from the United States to Europe.
