BARBI (Barbi) Alice (1 VI 1862, Modena - 4 IX 1948, Rome) - Italian. chamber singer (mezzo-soprano). In her youth she was playing the violin; I studied singing by hand. Zamboni, L. Busi, L. Vannuccini. In 1882 she made her debut in Milan. She successfully performed in various cities of Italy and abroad (Great Britain, Germany; USA - for the first time in 1897). His beautiful voice and skill were highly appreciated by I. Brahms, who performed with the singer as an accompanist in one of her concerts in Vienna (1893).
