With separate disagreements in positions, all writers and philosophers, whose work fascinated Liszt in the 1820-1830s, fundamentally converged in three main aspects: a humanistic socially oriented perception of the world; the need for moral improvement of each individual through the dominance of sciences and arts; the recognition of religion as the main core of human civilization. Consequently, Liszt’s fascination with all these teachings can in no way be called a manifestation of the contradictory nature of his nature and “randomness in the brain.”
