Scholes' successor under Presley was called Charles Felton Jarvis. A fan of the first wave, this former singer in 1959 recorded his “offering” - “Don't Knock Elvis” (“Do not offend Elvis”). A good showman, but an ordinary performer, Jarvis subsequently changed his role and entered the world of southern recording studios as an artistic director.
