Iced Earth - High Water Mark

In mid-September, Liszt visited Frankfurt am Main, where on the 18th he was admitted to the Masonic Lodge Zur Einigkeit (“Towards Unity”). His guarantor was William Speyer. This was List's first step toward Freemasonry. In 1842, the Berlin box Zur Eintracht (“To consent”) accepted him into its ranks; in the same year he entered the local box at Iserlohn. Three years later, in Zurich, the Modestia cum Libertate box (“Modesty and Freedom”) elected Liszt an honorary member, and later the box Einigkeit im Vaterlande (“Unity in the Fatherland”) in Budapest.
