So, Mozart, a former protégé and, to some extent, like-minded emperor Joseph, tried to win the favor of the new ruler, but did not succeed in this at all. In 1790, he went on his last tour of Germany, with Frankfurt am Main as the final destination, where the coronation celebrations were to take place.
