I removed the book from the shelf and read Zelter’s answer: “The minor key differs from the major one due to the minor third, which is replaced by the large third. Our current diatonic (natural) gamma arises from the division of the string. If you divide it into halves, you get an octave; if in three parts - a fifth in its pure form; if you divide it into five parts, a big third comes out. The string can be divided into as many parts as you like, but you still won’t get a small third, although you will almost get close to it. Therefore, a small third is not a direct gift of nature, but a creation of the latest art. ”
