Ironically, the very same Henry Dorn was supposed to conduct the overture, who at one time presented the public with the infamous "colorful" B-dur overture ("with timpani"). For Wagner, the memories of the experienced shame were still alive, so they decided not to mention the performance of the overture in the poster, thereby hiding the author’s name. The composer waited with trepidation for the reaction of the audience, but this time fate was merciful to him. The public accepted the overture favorably; and then it was performed for a long time on the stage of the theater and was announced in the playbill already with the full name of the composer. The revenge was taken!
