Iron Maiden - Transylvania

In Budapest, Liszt, as before, was studying with his students, fighting off importunate invitations as best he could, referring to senile ill health, but he gladly hosted friends and spent cozy evenings at his Budapest apartment for a whist that he loved, and interesting conversations. In addition, he posed for the sculptor Alaios Strobl (Strobl; 1856–1926), who, having been educated at the Vienna Academy of Arts, came to work in Budapest and already managed to become famous. (At that time, Strobl worked on the statues of Liszt and Erkel, now adorning the building of the Hungarian State Opera House).
