Italy for a long time occupied the first place in regard to violin virtuosos and violin cases of masters. Famous composers such as Arcangelo Corelli, Giuseppe Tartini and Antonio Vivaldi, were at the same time gifted violinists, who delighted the audience and caused a storm of applause. Since the violin played a crucial role in the then music scene, the production of violins flourished. In many Italian cities, there were special workshops in which violins of the highest standard were made, the sound of which remains unsurpassed until today.
