Firewind - Distant Thoughts

If in Menburg Menukhin gave one of his first concerts, then in this hall, opened in 1986 in the complex of buildings of the Ludwig Museum, one of his last performances took place. I then performed with him in this wonderful, amphitheater-like building. The architects managed to build not only an aesthetically very attractive hall, but also create conditions for acoustics that could guarantee the audience - and the hall accommodates about two thousand people - an unclouded enjoyment of music. In connection with the tenth anniversary of the death of Yehudi Menuhin, in 2009 I had the opportunity to give three evening concerts in his memory there.
